6 Million
Going once. Going twice.
Nope. Not gone. Not gone at all...
After over a month of open houses and intrusions of photos and surveyors and agents and stuff -- the auction was last night. I managed to make it in as the auctioneer was offering 5.6 million. I mean seriously -- who has that much money??? Not five minutes later it was up to 6 million dollars. And then it was finished. And we knew nothing last night. Nothing.
So this morning I stormed (ok walked) into the agent and tried to find out what was going on. I hate not knowing. Supposedly the 6 million was 'passed in' which means that that the reserve was not met, so it was not “on the market” and it was not going to sell at that price. (Thanks to Deb for the correct definition of passed in!) The sellers wanted more (6.5), the buyers didn't want to spend that much.
UGH! So, now the agent/sellers want 2 more sets of people to go thru the house again on Saturday at 11.
And so it begins again. And again.
