Swimways Swim School

Today was the first day of swim lessons for the kids. I found a swim school at the Willoughby Leisure Center, just 5 minutes from the house and they had spots open for the kids at the same time on Tuesday afternoons. Right after drama, but I figured get all of the activities out of the way on one day.
Ended up being half an hour early since we went to drama and never found the place. The navigation let us down. Took us to someone's house in the wrong area and when I called, all I got was the answering machine. Oh well, kids needed the down time anyway. Andrew fell asleep in the car not long after we left the house. Got a little rested up for swimming.
So, being early for swimming meant that they could play in the water for a while before lessons. Probably a good thing just to get them acclimated to the water some. Not just jumping right in. At 5:30 walked Emme over to her lane and then took Andrew over to his area. He was alot more hesitant to go to swim lessons than to Kindergarten. In fact, he broke down crying 10 minutes into the lessons when he didn't see where I was sitting and thought I didn't come back to watch him. He just didn't know where I was sitting.
The lessons look really good. In fact, Andrew was even working on the arm motions to the crawl stroke in this basic preschool class. There are three total in his class. In Emme's I think there are about 7 kids and they are in a little deeper water. Not sure about what they are doing because I stayed with Andrew's area the whole time so that he would keep swimming.
